Oleg Ponomarev, Head of Corporate Finance / M&A

Oleg. Ponomarev joined our group in 1996. Until 2001 he worked for CA IB in its Moscow office. In 2002 Mr. Ponomarev was appointed to the position of Deputy Head of Corporate Finance at IMB. In 2003 he became head of IMB corporate finance. Currently Mr. Ponomarev acts as Head of Corporate Finance of UniCredit Markets & Corporate Finance Russia.
Mr. Ponomarev has extensive experience in M&A advisory. He was responsible for the successful completion of numerous projects in oil & gas, food & beverages, metal & machinery, construction materials and packaging sectors.
Mr. Ponomarev holds a masters degree in Mathematics from Moscow Institute of Engineering and Physics. He is fluent in English and is a native Russian speaker.

Timur Gudim, Deputy Head of Corporate Finance / M&A

Timur Gudim joined our group in 1996. He worked until 1998 for CA IB's local office in Kishinev, Moldova, where CA IB advised the government under an EBRD-sponsored program on the privatization of several companies. Since 2000, Mr Gudim has been working for CA IB in Moscow, and currently acts as Deputy Head of Corporate Finance of UniCredit Markets & Corporate Finance Russia.
Mr Gudim has extensive experience in advising Western and FSU corporations on M&A assignments and on raising structured financing, specifically in the telecom, pharmaceutical, construction material and banking sectors.
Mr Gudim holds an undergraduate degree in International Economic Relations from the Moldovan Academy of Economic Studies and an MBA in Finance from the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota. He is fluent in English and is a native Russian speaker.

Michael Sokolov, Head of Equity Capital Markets

Michael Sokolov is Head of ECM responsible for origination and execution of ECM products in Russia. Previously Michael was part of EMEA ECM team at Deutsche Bank. Michael had also worked with Corporate banking division of Raiffeisen Bank.
Michael holds advanced degree in International Economic Relations from State University of Management (Diploma with honors). Michael is alumnus of Columbia Business School and Ph.D. fellow in Russian Academy of Science, Institute of Europe.
